“Had a fantastic stay at Trout Haus! The space was remodeled perfectly, very clean and well appointed. A perfect place to stay for a couple or small family. The trails back to the Rush River were great, so if you’re a fly fisherman, this is a great place to stay. Philip was great and very friendly, he even brought us tomatoes right out of the garden! We’ll definitely be back with our fly rods next time!”

“My wife and I enjoyed a 1-night stay. They’ve done a lovely renovation of the barn with tasteful and artistic touches aplenty. We loved walking the mowed paths through the woods and going down to the river to collect rocks. For being so close to the Twin Cities, it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. We will likely return for another stay one day.”

“We loved our stay. The garden and the trails were a different kind of beauty to appreciate. We were welcomed by friendly hosts and greatly valued their recommendations of places to eat and explore. We would return in a heartbeat.”

“Philip and Kay are so kind and helpful! I forgot my 3 years olds car toys and first thing they did was bring us plenty of their grandsons favorites to enjoy! My kids LOVED the land and firefly’s, the fire pit and swing set. What they’ve created is truly a little piece of Wisconsin paradise. We had everything we needed in terms of cooking and bedding which was so helpful and the place was easily cooled and heated. We had a little hiccup with hot water but they generously offered their own space without the blink of an eye! They are getting it all fixed so no need to worry for the next guests! Great place to stay with kids, just know nettle because it’s easy to brush against on the trails. Thanks guys!”

“Beautiful location! The owners were excellent hosts! We picked rocks by the river and thrifted in the area and Red Wing. Lovely get away and I’m definitely going to stay there again. ”
